That's Nelson. [Clicked from the bench. Those you know know.]

Life is a wonderful cycle of kindness and good deeds.

It is my little story when I came to Castlegar for the first time. The flight circled over the small airstrip at the Castlegar airport. It was a beautiful view of the Columbia River, the mountains and the tiny houses which I could see from the small aircraft window. Due to weather and terrain, Castlegar airport has a reputation for cancelling flights and short landings & take-offs. The pilot announced to fasten seat belts and expect turbulence while landing. Here I was embracing myself for a better life ahead in Canada.

Below is a reel which shows the journey from India to Castlegar in 30 seconds.

Continuing after landing at the airport, grabbing three suitcases and standing outside the airport thinking What's next? I asked at the reception about the bus to Nelson. There was one last bus in 5 minutes. I didn't have two dollars and 25 cents. The guy asked if I had money to get change for the bus. I gave him a hundred-dollar bill, and he laughed and gave back $100 and toonie for the bus. I smiled, thanked him and left. However, I couldn't reach the bus stop with all the luggage.

If you are curious about what I did after missing the bus and talking about the journey to here, check this vlog https://youtu.be/9eGqC8H3Vpc?si=WdHBwTM9q2hV11zN

Fast forward to one year later, I was waiting for the bus at the baker's street in Nelson. It was the last bus to the tenth street, where I live. A couple of people were waiting for the bus but the bus got cancelled for some reason. I called the cab and he said wait time of 30 minutes. It was a rainy cold weekend. I just finished working at the restaurant. There was this school guy who called a cab and he was a toonie short for the cab bill. He came up to me and asked if I had a toonie. I gave him and later he left in the cab.

That moment it struck me the toonie that the receptionist gave me for the bus in Castlegar. What goes around comes around, both good shit and bad shit. It was a good deed that someone did for me and I did for someone else. It is beautiful when you help without intending to gain anything in return. Hopefully, others think the same. Before I spit some philosophy on deeds, let's call it a post. Have a look at the photo Northern Lights below, taken from the tenth street outside the residence.
